Our Giving Tree has arrived!

What a wonderful surprise to see a REAL christmas tree in the office this morning!
Jess and Adele did a fantastic job of decorating the tree.
Sam G was the first person to donate toys for the children who need them this Christmas.
Please bring in toys you do not need anymore and put them under our Christmas Giving Tree.
Donations of wrapping paper and cellotape are also welcome.

We're blue!

Our mat looked like a lovely blue sea this morning! The children wore mufti to raise money for the upgrade of our pool area.

It reminded Miss B-T of a song she used to sing. Here we are singing the song! Enjoy!

Wow! 11,111 page views!

Wow! I just spotted that we have had eleven thousand, one hundred and eleven page views!
What a cool looking number!

Thanks to everyone who has shared in our learning so far!

WALT: Write detailed descriptions!

We have been learning how to write good descriptions so our readers can picture our stories in their heads.
We wrote a description of one of the toys in our class. We tried to include all the important details.
When we had finished we sent our description to the children of Room 4. (Click on their name to view their blog)
They were adventurous and accepted the challenge to try and picture our description in their heads and to draw a picture showing what they are thinking.

This is the description we wrote:

Wow! Check out the amazing visualising Room 4 did! (Click on the photo to see it bigger)
We are very proud of our writing and the great work Room 4 did too!

Good things take time - Dance

This term we will be learning about dance and music. We are learning to appreciate that good things take time. Over the term we will be create our own dances and music to share with our families and friends. We are focusing on making sure we do our best job and not a rush job!

To start our dance unit we watched a video of a dancer doing lots of different kinds of dance. We then made a brainstorm of all the different kinds of movement we saw.

Watch the video to find out more about what we learned.

Comment Challenge: What kinds of movement did you see in the video?

Our Friend Wall

We are working on being good friends in Room 1 and 2. We decided to make a big wall of goals that we can try and do every day at break times and in the classroom.

We have flowers with our names on them and we put them next to a goal that we want to try harder at. We think it looks great.

By Bridget, Mackenzie and Lachie.
