A Snapshot

Here is a small snapshot of our Junior Triathlon on Friday. We had such a lovely afternoon. All of the children tried their hardest, especially the run at the end!

Well done JLT, we're so proud of you all being so adventurous, even when it seemed hard.

Explorers day at the beach!

We had such a great time today. The children (and parents!) were so adventurous and went out far into the waves, even our ones that were a little worried.

I am so proud of you Explorers - what a fabulous day!!

Beach Education Thursday 21st

Hi team!

We are so excited about heading to the beach on Thursday 21st Feb!

Please make sure you wear school uniform and are at school ready to go at 8.30am. This is so that we can get there at a good time to maximise our day.

What do we bring to Beach Ed?

The beach is an ever changing environment so you will need to pack for all seasons:

Swimming Costume/Togs

Wetsuit (if you have one)

Towel

Warm clothes/school polar fleece

Thermal Underwear/Polyprop

Hat

Sunblock - SPF 30+

Lunch

Drink/Water

What to expect on the day:

8.30: Meet in your classes

8.45: Bus leaving school

9.30: Arrive at Waimairi Beach, meet instructors 

9.45: Clubhouse tour with instructors

10.00: Morning Tea

10.15: Surf safety session in clubhouse

11.00: Beach games

12.00: Lunch 

12.45: Water activities begin

2.00: Return to school

Friday 8th February

Hi Year 2/3 team...

We are wanting to share our plan for Friday the 8th February with you. As you all know, we got rained out of our fun picnic and team building day at the domain on Monday, so we plan to go tomorrow.

Our plan is:
9-10am: in class learning time
10am: walk down to the domain, take morning tea for a picnic when we get there. Play team building games
11.30am: walk back to school
12pm: lunch at school

Bring your togs for some fun in the pool from 2-3pm!

We are looking forward to a great day.
